Zeeland BPW’s MyMeter® portal helps consumers monitor utility use and will also make it simpler to pay bills

Zeeland Board of Public Works is introducing a new free customer portal, MyMeter®, so consumers can easily track their energy and water usage.

The new technology will also make it simpler to pay bills and get notifications for unusual energy and water use.

“We’re pleased to provide more technology to our service area and consider this a step closer to empowering our customers with meaningful usage information that can be leveraged to control utility bills,” says Andrew Boatright, general manager of Zeeland BPW.

The “Save to Give Challenge” offers homeowners a chance to make a difference in their community by recording their energy saving actions online. Now, it’s time for nonprofits in the area to apply to be one of the three that could see some large checks.

‘Save to Give Challenge’ helps raise $10,018 for Lodi area nonprofits

Powered by MyMeter®, Focus On Energy’s “Save to Give Challenge” ended for Lodi residents with a celebration, a check presentation during Susie the Duck Day, and an announcement from a Lodi nonprofit.

The “Save to Give Challenge” allowed residents to earn donations for three Lodi nonprofits, including Reach Out Lodi, Prairie Valley Resale Store, Lodi Parent-Teacher Organization, by taking energy-saving actions inside their homes.

CenterPoint Energy offers Minnesota businesses an online tool to measure and manage their energy use

CenterPoint Energy, Minnesota’s largest natural gas utility, is offering its commercial customers an online natural gas “benchmarking” tool to help them measure their energy use. The tool will provide customers with potential opportunities to lower their utility bills and reduce their carbon footprint.
Energy benchmarking is a method to track a building’s energy consumption over time and compare it to similar buildings.

Bayfield County and City of Lodi selected as first communities to launch new MyMeter® Save to Give Challenge

Bayfield County and the City of Lodi are the first two communities in Wisconsin to participate in the FOCUS ON ENERGY® MyMeter® Save to Give Challenge initiative. Officially launching in 2021, the Save to Give Challenge will offer Lodi Electric Utility customers and Xcel Energy electric customers in Bayfield County a new way to save energy, save money and make a difference in their communities. The challenge will engage residents in fun, community-building activities that conserve energy in their homes while supporting a local charity of the community’s choice.

One of the big strengths of AI was its number of broad implementations, from C&I consumption data graphs for large utilities like Duke Energy to developing payment portals for smaller utilities here in the Northwest like Peninsula Light.
